Cornwall Double Glazing Company Named My VEKA Project Winner for Heritage Door Installation

Origin Double Glazing installed a rosewood VEKA PVCu entrance door designed to replicate the warm, traditional appearance of timber.

United Kingdom, September 15, 2026 -- Origin Double Glazing Ltd, a Cornwall-based window and door installer, has been named a #MyVEKAProject winner by VEKA for a recent entrance door installation at a heritage cottage in Cornwall.

The winning project featured a Rosewood VEKA PVCu entrance door, installed by Origin Double Glazing. VEKA highlighted how the new entrance complements the traditional character of the cottage while providing the modern benefits of PVCu.

The sophisticated Rosewood finish was chosen carefully to replicate the warm, traditional appearance of timber, making it particularly suited to the heritage property. Unlike traditional timber, the PVCu door requires minimal maintenance while providing modern energy efficiency, durability and security. It also eliminates the need for regular sanding or painting while delivering the modern efficiency that many homeowners now expect.

VEKA publicly recognised the project through its #MyVEKAProject campaign and went on to describe the door as being “expertly installed” by Origin Double Glazing, one of its official installers in Cornwall.

This industry recognition underscores Origin Double Glazing's commitment to providing exceptional and characterful services throughout the region. The company has extensive experience installing doors and windows in the Cornwall area and now has a reputation for delivering home improvements to properties that many brands don't cater to, including difficult-to-work-with rustic rural cottages (alongside conventional modern properties) .

According to the company, one of its goals is to help homeowners preserve the character and historic charm of their properties while also providing sleek and efficient modern solutions. Those interested can view the winning installation by Origin Double Glazings through their official channels or their Instagram page.
